Mid-week Motivation

How can we win in the 2nd-half of the week?

Wednesday 20th May: 12.00 - 13:00 pm

Online ZOOM Meeting

YES, COUNT ME IN!

This week our mid-week session takes inspiration from the high-performance world of sport - we'll get a unique peep behind the scenes to those conversations in the changing room have led to a remarkably different 2nd half!

A conversation with Matt Messias, former Premier League referee, and Pete Lowe, long time Manchester City coach, facilitated by John Savage.

We want to invite all those who are ambitious in improving their performance in the workplace and in their life generally. This conversation is about supporting higher preforming individuals and teams, finding marginal gains and fostering a winners mindset.

Everyone gets involved in this action-packed hour to ensure that we leave the session with total clarity and in a state of complete emotional control over what needs to be done in the rest of the week.

At this stage we can't know exactly what will be discussed but we know when high energy people get together the magic will happen. The result will be clarity of focus, prioritisation of tasks and greater productivity.

Our panelists have fascinating careers in both sport as well as education so are very qualified to share highly relevant experience and perspectives. But this session is very much about the sum of the parts, so come with an open-mind and readiness to share what's been good for you - everyone has something to contribute!

Pete Lowe

Pete Lowe worked with Manchester City Football Club for thirteen years, during which time he helped put in place a training program that cultivated strong teams as well as strong players. In his role as a coach and the Head of Education and Performance Management, Pete learned how to navigate a high-pressure environment that demanded sustained success. Pete knows how to make the ‘glue’ that helps teams stick and work together and he applies that knowledge now to businesses.

Pete recognised early on that competitive sports had many lessons to teach the business world. The skills cultivated by a football coach over the course of his career can be invaluable to an entrepreneur or a business owner. This includes the ability to recognise the right talent for a given position, the ability to adapt to ever-evolving market conditions and seize new opportunities, as well as the creation of a culture based around strategy – having a plan to win and being able to
execute it.
